Lavender Buttermilk Syrup

  • Heat lavender sugar, buttermilk, and butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it starts to boil. Remove saucepan from heat and stir baking soda and vanilla into buttermilk mixture. Watch the magic happen as it foams!

Lavender Goat Buttermilk Pie

1 unbaked pie crust

1 cup Lavender Sugar

1/3 cup Flour

3 Beaten Eggs

1/2 cup melted Butter 

1 teaspoon Vanilla

1 cup Goat Buttermilk

In a bowl combine lavender sugar and flour. Set aside. In a separate bowl combine beaten eggs, vanilla, buttermilk, and melted butter. Add sugar and mix. Pour into an unbaked pie crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. The crust should be light brown. 

Lavender Candied Nuts

3 cups nuts (pecans, walnuts, almonds, etc. )

1 egg white whisked to frothy

2 tablespoon water

2/3 cup granulated lavender sugar

1/3 cup brown sugar packed 

1 Tablespoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon Kosher salt or to taste

Mix nuts and frothy egg white in a bowl. Make sure all the nuts are coated evenly.

Add lavender sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt to the nuts. Mix well.

Grease the crock pot with non-stick spray.  

Add lavender nut mixture to the crock pot. 

Place a lid on the slow cooker and heat nuts on low for 2-1/2 to 3 hours. Stir every hour. After 2 hours, mix well and add water, which helps glaze the nuts. Remove nuts from the crock pot and spread them in a single layer onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cool on a baking sheet.

 

Lavender Buttermilk Scone Mix

Combine full package of Lavender Buttermilk Scone Mix with

    1. 1/2 cup of water
    2. 1 tsp of vanilla
    3. 1 egg

Wisk together.

 Dough will be wet and a bit sticky. Wet hands to handle dough. Shape dough into an 8 inch circle 1 inch thick.

Wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Cut the dough circle into 8 triangles and place on greased cookie sheet.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Cook for 18 to 26 minutes

Allow to cool. Top with cream, jam, or icing.

Lavender Shortbread Mix

Add 2 sticks of butter to a bowl.

Beat for 2 minutes with an electric mixer.

Pour the lavender shortbread mix into the butter and combine.

Place dough onto a sheet of plastic wrap and roll into a tube

Place into the refrigerator until firm, about 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

Cut the dough into ¼ inch thick rounds.

Place on lined baking sheet.

Cook for 12 to 15 mins.

Makes approximately 24 cookies
